About VertaaUX
VertaaUX is an automated UX audit service built in Finland and founded by Petri Lahdelma. You enter a URL and it scores the page across seven dimensions: usability, clarity, information architecture, accessibility (WCAG 2.2), performance, visual design and mobile responsiveness.
It combines rule-based checks with AI analysis. Findings come with rule context, CSS selectors and fix guidance, and can be shared as links or PDF exports. A typical single-page audit takes 20 to 30 seconds. Paid plans add multi-page crawling.
Beyond the web app it ships a CLI, a GitHub Action for CI gating, an MCP server for AI agents, a VS Code extension, a Chrome extension and a TypeScript SDK. A Figma plugin is in preview.
Best for: Product and engineering teams that want automated UX and accessibility checks in their release pipeline.
Strengths
- Free audits without an account (1 per day) or with one (3 per day).
- Covers accessibility against WCAG 2.2 alongside usability and clarity.
- CLI, GitHub Action and MCP server for automated checks.
- Findings include selectors and remediation guidance.
- Prepaid credit packs that do not expire.
Limitations
- Prices are in euros plus 25.5% VAT; annual billing is listed as coming soon.
- Multi-page crawling on Pro is limited to 3 to 20 pages.
- Automated scoring does not replace testing with real users, which the vendor also says.
Pricing
Free plan with 3 audits per day (1 without an account). Pro is EUR 29 per month and Agency EUR 149 per month, both plus 25.5% VAT and billed monthly; Enterprise is priced per contract. One-off credit packs cost EUR 19 for 10, EUR 79 for 50 and EUR 249 for 200. Checked October 2026.
When to pick something else
- UXAudit. Now: pick it if you want audits scored against a large guideline library by site type
- Flawless: pick it if you want a pay-per-report audit with AI fix prompts
- Cruelx: pick it if you care more about copy and buyer psychology than accessibility
- Baymard: pick it if you run an ecommerce site and want research-backed guidelines and expert audits
