About FigJam

FigJam is Figma's online whiteboard. Teams use it for brainstorming, diagramming with shapes and connectors, user flows, workshops and planning, often next to design files in Figma.

FigJam is available on the web, in Figma's desktop app and as an iPad app. It is part of every Figma plan. On paid plans, the low-cost Collab seat gives full FigJam access plus view and comment access to design files.

FigJam AI can generate templates and diagrams from a prompt, sort stickies into themes and summarize board content into action items. Meetings can use live audio, chat, a shared timer, stamps and Spotlight to bring others to your view.

Best for: Teams that already design in Figma and want their workshops and flows in the same account.

Strengths

  • The free Starter plan limits teams to three FigJam files outside drafts.
  • Most value comes from being inside the Figma ecosystem.
  • AI use is limited by plan credits.
  • Fewer enterprise workshop frameworks than Mural or Miro.

Free on the Starter plan with three FigJam files. On Professional, a Collab seat (full FigJam, Slides and Buzz access) is $3 per month; on Organization and Enterprise (billed annually) it is $5 per month (USD). Checked October 2026.

When to pick something else

  • Miro: you need a broader whiteboard with more templates and integrations
  • Mural: you run structured, facilitated workshops at enterprise scale
  • Whimsical: you want fast flowcharts and wireframes outside Figma
  • Lucidspark: you already use Lucidchart
