Webflow is a browser-based visual website builder with a CMS and managed hosting. Designers lay out pages with full CSS control, build interactions on GSAP, and publish production sites, which also makes it usable for high-fidelity, real-code prototypes.
Webflow now describes itself as an agentic web platform. Webflow AI can build sites, write copy and create code components, and there is a Webflow MCP server for tools like Claude and Cursor. Related products include Webflow Optimize (experiments and personalization), Webflow Analyze, AEO features and Localize for translation.
Pricing is split between site plans (hosting per site) and Workspace seats (people who edit).
Best for: Designers who want to ship marketing sites or real-code prototypes visually, without handing off to front-end developers.
Starter site plan is free (webflow.io domain, 2 pages). Basic is $15 per month per site and Premium is $25 per month per site (USD, billed yearly; monthly costs more). Workspace Full seats are $39 per seat per month and Limited seats $15, billed yearly; the Team platform plan is $2,500 per month on an annual contract. Checked October 2026.

Webflow is a prototyping tool for Web. A paid plan costs about $180 a year, and there is a free plan. In our comparison it supports design, animations, data and variables. It does not offer transitions, code, inputs, handoff, sensors, export, voice, tasks, analytics and heatmap.
